  • How do I get an estimate?
All our estimates are free, and we recommend making an appointment to ensure we have ample time to help you feel comfortable with your decision to have us repair your vehicle.
  • Do I need more than one estimate?
It's entirely your choice whether you want multiple estimates to compare different shops. Once you choose a shop, you can have your insurance company work directly with them.
  • I already have an estimate from my insurance company, what do I do next?
If your insurance adjuster has already inspected your vehicle, you can schedule the repairs with us. You can send us a copy of the estimate via email, drop it off in person, or provide your insurance information so we can obtain a copy ourselves. We will begin the repair process based on this original estimate.
  • Will my estimate include all new OEM factory replacement parts?
Insurance companies have different policies regarding parts. Some may only approve aftermarket, remanufactured, or used parts for repairs. If you prefer to use all new factory parts, you can choose to cover any additional costs.
  • Where do I get a claim number?
Your insurance company will issue a claim number when you report your accident. Be sure to note it down and bring it with you when you come in for repairs; we'll take care of the rest.
  • What is a deductible and how do I know if I have to pay one?
If the other party is at fault and their insurance is covering the repair, you won't have a deductible. A deductible is an amount set when you purchase your insurance policy and can range from $50 to $3,000. If your insurance is handling the repair, the cause of the accident will determine the deductible amount. Check with your insurance company or review your policy to find out.
  • The other insurance company says my car is a "total loss". What does that mean?
A "total loss" means that the cost of repairs plus the vehicle's salvage value (its value in damaged condition) exceeds the Actual Cash Value (ACV) of the vehicle before the accident.
  • What are OEM Parts?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer, which refers to parts made by the vehicle's original manufacturer.
  • What are Aftermarket Parts?
Aftermarket parts are produced by companies other than the vehicle's manufacturer. These Quality Replacement Parts (QRP) are generally less expensive but may not fit or function as well as OEM parts.
  • What are LKQ Parts?
LKQ (Like Kind & Quality) parts are used parts typically sourced from automotive salvage yards. These yards acquire damaged or totaled vehicles, salvage the usable parts, and sell them as LKQ parts. All LKQ parts are inspected for prior damage, rust, and to ensure they are OEM, not aftermarket.
  • How is the Actual Cash Value (ACV) determined?
An insurance company appraiser will inspect the vehicle to assess its condition prior to the accident and determine its ACV.
  • What is subrogation?
Subrogation is the process where your insurance company pays for your vehicle repairs and then seeks reimbursement from the at-fault party's insurer. You'll need to pay your deductible initially, but it may be refunded once the other party pays.
  • Can I have my vehicle repaired at the shop of my choice?
Yes, you have the right and responsibility to select the repair shop for your vehicle.
  • How long will the repair take?
The duration of the repair depends on several factors, including part availability, drying times for paint and materials, and the availability of specific equipment at our facility. We know how important your vehicle is to you, so we strive to complete repairs as quickly as possible.
  • Will my color match?
Our skilled professionals use advanced paint matching technology to ensure the finish on your vehicle is accurately reproduced. We only use the highest quality paint to achieve this.
  • What if I want to keep my vehicle after it is totaled?
You have the right to keep your vehicle even if it is totaled, but the settlement amount may be reduced by the salvage value.
  • When can I wash or wax the exterior of my vehicle?
You can wash your vehicle by hand with cool water and a very mild car wash solution using a soft cloth or sponge as soon as you get it back. For the first 30 days, we recommend the following: Avoid commercial car washes: Stiff brushes and sponges can mar the finish and damage the surface. Stay off gravel roads: The finish is more prone to chipping during this period. Avoid parking under trees and utility lines: Bird droppings and tree sap can damage a freshly painted surface due to their acidic content. Be cautious with spills: Keep gasoline, oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid, and windshield solvent away from the new finish. Do not scrape ice or snow: Scraping can damage the newly painted surface. For the first 90 days, we suggest: Avoid waxing or polishing: This allows the finish to dry and harden completely.
  • When do I pay my deductible?
You pay your deductible once the repairs are complete and you are satisfied with the work. The insurance check issued will be minus your deductible amount, if applicable. You will pay the deductible to Sleek Refinish when you pick up your vehicle.
  • When is my final payment due?
Final payment is due when the repair is complete. If you are using insurance, bring any insurance checks and your deductible with you. You can also sign the check over to us without needing to deposit it into your account.
  • Can you help bury my deductible?
No, we cannot. When you purchased your insurance policy, you agreed to pay the deductible amount. Asking a repair shop to hide the deductible is fraudulent. Both the shop and the consumer could face severe penalties for insurance fraud. If a shop offers to cover your deductible, they are likely cutting corners on repairs, which can result in unsafe and poor-quality work that will cost you more in the long run.
  • What if I am not using insurance for my repair?
If you are not using insurance for your repair, a 50% deposit is required to start the work. The remaining balance is due when the repairs are complete. We accept cash and major credit cards for your convenience.
  • What types of payment do you accept?
We accept cash and major credit cards.
